Mother Tina Wilson

General Church Mother, Prayer Assembly COGIC

Mother Clementine (“Tina”) Wilson was born on April 21, 1936 in Kinston, N.C. to Deman and Fanny Perry. She was the fifth of six children. After graduating high school in 1956 she attended Business College in Philadelphia, P.A. where she received a certificate in Business Administration. Two years after completing college, she met one Paul Wilson who would later become her husband. Upon the advice and encouragement of her brother and Paul who was also a serviceman, she joined the Air Force. She served with the Air Force for three years. During her service she was assigned to Lackland A.F.B., Francis E.W. A.F.B. in Wyoming, and McGuire A.F.B. in New Jersey. In 1959 she was honorably discharged.
Although she grew up with a church mother for a mother, a deacon for a father, and knew of God, she first began a relationship with the Lord living with her Aunt in New Jersey after the service. For a year she lived for the Lord until a visit with friends and family in Virginia caused her to slide back into sin. By 1970 she moved to Philadelphia, PA where she renewed her acquaintance with Paul Wilson and just two year later they were married.
In 1973 Tina, Paul and her daughter Shawn were transferred to Taiwan. It was there after encouragement from their daughter and an invitation to church that both Tina and Paul began to change. One month after attending Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, both Tina and Paul became saved. On fire for the Lord they began serving the Lord with Tina in charge of the kindergarten Sunday school class. She gave birth to her second child PJ a year later and in April 1975 received the Holy Spirit and was baptized in the China Sea.
In July 1975 they were transferred back to the states to Dayton, Ohio to Wright A.F.B. They began attending Prayer Garden COGIC where Tina served in the Women’s Department, on the Mother’s Board, in the Missionary Circle, and assisted the Youth Department. During the six years in Ohio, Tina gave birth to three more children: Tanya, Perry, and Philemon.

In 1981 God chose to move the Wilson family to Chandler, AZ . Four months later God blessed them to move into their own home in Tempe, AZ and attend church under Pastor Eddie Bryant for the next three years. After careful thought and prayer, in 1984 the Wilsons joined Prayer Assembly COGIC where they have been faithful members ever since. Since becoming a member of Prayer Assembly, Mother Clementine “Tina” Wilson has worked with the Communion Ministry, Singles Ministry, Marriage Ministry, Missions Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and currently serves as the head of the Mother’s Board.

Mother Tina Wilson loves the Lord with all her heart, soul, and mind, and lives by her favorite scripture found in Lamentations 3:21-23 “This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: “Great is Thy faithfulness.”
