Church Update, March 18, 2020

Dear Prayer Assembly Members and Friends,
We are continuing to monitor changes here in Arizona related to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and want to provide you with an update on our plans for PA. Monday, Governor Ducey and the Arizona Department of Health Services revised their guidance in terms of groups of people gathering for various purposes.  They now recommend that group gatherings be limited to 10 or less people.  This is not a mandate but a recommendation. They also continue to reinforce the need to wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, practice social distancing, and if you are sick, have health issues, or are 60 and over to avoid gathering with people.  Given this new info, we are making the following modifications.
  • We will continue our in-person Sunday Services including Sunday School and morning worship services as well as Promise Keepers and rehearsals. Whenever we meet in-person we will abide by the sanitizing standards, social distancing guidelines and request that those of you who are sick, have compromised immune systems, are elderly or have concerns to enjoy our worship experience online on any of our platforms.
  • Beginning March 25th, we will only live stream our 7pm Bible Study in order to limit the number of mass gatherings weekly. You can access it via Facebook, our PA App, Youtube or at PACOGIC.com.  Remember that online giving is available via the PA App and at PACOGIC.com.
  • The Young Adult sponsored revival will be postponed until further notice.
As the leadership continues to monitor the situation, please know that as new restrictions are put in-place we may have to modify our plans.  We will update our contingency plans in the event that houses of worship are asked to close. PA will utilize our email, website, PA App and social media channels to convey any updates. We remain prayerful, vigilant, and trusting that it is all in God's hands, as this ongoing situation continues to unfold.

Keep the faith and be encouraged!
