Church Update: May 15, 2020

Dear Prayer Assembly Members and Friends
I pray this note finds you healthy and safe.  I want to provide an update to how we are approaching a return to gathering in person.  As you may know, Governor Ducey has made the decision to let the “Stay at Home” order expire as of today.  While this allows many stores, restaurants, and other retail options to re-open, there are still requirements for the public to practice social distancing.  What this means for us, is that we could begin meeting again in person as soon as this Sunday.  However, we will NOT.  I Corinthians 6:12 cautions us that while something may be lawful, it doesn’t mean it is good for us to do it.   From our perspective the risk of contracting the Corona Virus continues to be too high and we have not seen a sustained flattening or decrease in new cases or deaths.

While I cannot give you a specific date just yet, I do want you to know that I will be meeting with the leadership team soon to discuss what a return to in person gatherings will look like.  We want to make sure that we are providing the safest worship environment we can.  Please continue to pray for God’s wisdom and intervention in this situation.  Thank you and God bless.
